The Society of Will Writers has now submitted its response to The Competition and Markets Authority’s consultation on draft guidance for unregulated providers of will writing, online divorce and pre-paid probate.

After private discussions with members as well as open discussions at regional groups and other events we have attended recently, we have drafted a response that we believe reflects your feelings as well as ours. Our response has considered the guidance and the questions proposed by the CMA, which we are satisfied with overall, although believe more work is needed ahead of a final version being published.
We have also forwarded a series of additional comments provided to us by members who wanted to be included specifically. We are aware that some members have responded directly to the CMA, too. The SWW Professional Standards Board has also recently submitted its response, which is available here.
